Job Description

Summary

Cellerate is looking for an enthusiastic robotics engineer with background in the design of automation systems. As a robotics engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of automation solutions for Cellerate's systems. You will have the autonomy and responsibility to design and implement robotic hardware, jigs and fixtures. The role is based in the Manchester city centre, however hybrid remote work is a possibility. The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, typically from 9am to 6pm but we offer flexibility.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Design automated systems
  • Identify issues, diagnose faults and provide relevant solutions
  • Collaborate with other engineers to define functional requirements and build prototypes
  • Contribute innovative ideas and novel automation design solutions to solve problems
  • Support other engineers in system development
  • Create and maintain technical drawings, production and assembly documentation
  • Contribute improvements to the team’s working practices

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Knowledge of automation hardware and ability to understand technical documents
  • Experience with PLC and robot programming, design and testing
  • Experience with actuators and motors including NEMA and Trinamics
  • Experience with 3D CAD software
  • Experience producing technical drawings, generating BOMs, and production documentation
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritise work
  • Ability to carry out work in an organised manner

Preferred

  • Experience with Solidworks
  • Based in or around Manchester area

Salary & Benefits

  • £24,000 - £35,000 per year, full-time, depending upon professional experience
